I didn't join this site to hang out in forums and bs! This is a dating site. I came here to try to find someone to talk with, get to know one on one,someone close to where i am so a relatioship outside this might get started. Not hang out in communities. How can you date someone if they won't even respond to your messages?! Not sure this place is for me. Gonna give a little while longer, but then i'll have to find more productive means.

many of us here on the forums use the forums for exactly that purpose: to get to know each other, to talk with, to talk to, to talk down to. This is a venue to meet, much like or exactly like any other: work, school, forced labour camp, etc.

Your choice is your pejorative, of course, and nobody else has a say in it but you.

BTW, notwithstanding what I said, I never met anyone off this site or any other site, on the forums or just plain boring members. I am not the kind people like to meet. And lastly, everyone is so far away from everyone else, that you had better be a millionaire to be able to afford the airfare every time you (general you, not you personally and necessarily) feel like a little nookie.

Read your profile. Be prepared to answer questions like "bisexual? Wasda?" if you meet someone from here. We're quite the prudish crowd.

I think OKCupid dot com was heavily catering to the bi- and all kinds of other alternative sexual kind. I am tolerant, although straight, and this is a mainly straight site. Maybe OKC would suit your interest better. Not intending to send you away from here, just trying to help.

A word of warning: I think, or I believe, that any time I got a nasty computer virus, it was off OKCupid. The previous owners of OKC, in my opinion, planted viruses on the computers of those people who are rebellious. I am rebellious.

It was funny. They were real computer experts. They had a parser check every piece of typed correspondence there; if you were a good boy, you got nice matches, if you were nasty, they showed you really incompatible people. People who would be incompatible with anyone. If you wrote downright nasty letters, then they would plant a virus in your computer. My experience shows this, but I can't say this is fact.

So, if you don't want to hang out in the forums, why are you in the forums complaining about them?

Try posting "MARRIED BI-SEXUAL CHICK LOOKING FOR FEMALE LOVER". You would get more responses that you like than just complaining that you aren't meeting anyone.

You should do your research. Your infections more likely came from a lack of proper computer maintenance.

I still say ask for what you want directly esp. if you are looking for something specialized. Increase your chances. I was looking at the OP pic and thinking "What guys do I know would like her?" Then I read her profile and realized, she is not hunting ducks SHE IS HUNTING WABBITS.

OP...this is not strictly a dating site. Many are here for friends. why would we have all the choices they give us for what we are here for if it was only for dating? And BTW...if you think the forums are BS, well, is anyone holding a gun to your head and forcing you to participate in such BS?

Totage, you are right, but you should also do your research. The original owners and developers of OKCupid were Ph.D.-s in computing sciences. They knew computers better than anyone else I could think of outside of Microsoft and Apple. They boasted that. Those owners were proud of their high education and expert skills, and advertized them.

If anyone, they were able to write the parsers and install virus-implanters. I could not write a virus implanter if my life depended on that. It is not very easy to write a virus-implanter which does not harm the implanter's own computer.

I don't think anyone in the dating sites can write that. No disrespect meant, Dustin.

And I don't venture outside of dating sites on my internet activities much. Kijiji, Futureshop, Google Maps and weather charts. I don't visit porno sites.

So I am pretty sure, while not completely sure, that any time I got a nasty virus was got from OKC.

I even located articles in the literature that asserted that OKC was a major source of virus infestation in personal computers.

So there. I don't blow hot air from my pipes for nothing.

its a good way to pass some time the forums can be a good laugh and sometimes you might learn something from them /as for not meeting anybody if you are meant to meet someone you will and its their loss if they won/t reply to your messages /the sites are a good way to meet someone as if you chat long enough its makes it a lot easier when you meet that person
