Yeah I have to agree with the "good luck on your search" (for honesty). I grew up with mostly male friends and learned from them that there isnt a lot of that out there (not only from their actions towards women but from what they told me). What I'm finding is guys that want to tell you what to do, say, wear, or act and then it keeps them happy for about 10 minutes before the sexual talk all starts. I too am a very independent woman and it scared my ex boyfriend half to death! If only men would realize just how good we WOULD treat them if they did us right... conversation, romance, laughter, honesty and the big one.. not cheating. I'm in no hurry to rush into a sexual relationship without all the rest. But if the right man comes along and treats me good... he's in for far more than he ever dreamed of!!

I am not looking for someone to take care of me, I can do that just fine, and have been for a long time. The first two things I look at on ANY man are his eyes and his smile. I believe that the eyes are the window to the soul and if a man can't smile and mean it, then there is no hope. Of course, I eventually look at the rest of the package (I am not that blind), but that isn't what interests me.
I want a man who can hold a discussion with me on any subject. I like football and nascar, but I love to read and am into photography right now. I won't discuss politics because most of those idiots are so far off the mark it ain't funny. I won't discuss religion because too many issues to go into there.
I want to know a man is interested in me too. I like to hold hands, cuddle, take long walks, but actually going out in public is nice once in awhile too. I don't want to be made to feel that I am an embarrassment and he doesn't want to be seen in public with me (especially if I am better looking than him, lol).
Trust, communication, honesty and the ability to compromise! That is what I am looking for.
I agree, white knights riding white horses is nothing but a fairy tale and has nothing to do with real life.

I gave up looking for a woman to come by on a horse to save me. Now I am back to looking for an angel on an unicorn to come by and save me.
