http://denver.cbslocal.com/2012/05/07/russian-soldiers-to-train-at-fort-carson/ Osterholzer said the goal is to have foreign troops work together to exchange basic training skills used when working together out on the field. The troops will practice parachute jumps, fire basic weapons, conduct medical evacuations and will mountaineer west of the base. The Russians will be escorted around the clock by senior ranking U.S. military officers and no classified information will be exchanged. Reports last month swirled around supposed controversy over the visit. False reports claimed the drills would involve the Russians seizing CIA computers in Denver and taking over the city’s airport. The exercise follows a recent bilateral agreement between the U.S. and Russia that focuses on cooperation in counterterrorism, Osterholzer said. Big deal. This is common practice among nations and hardly rates notice anymore. The Australian Defence Dept. has been exchanging troops with other nations for training purposes for years and I'll wager the US defence Dept. has been doing the same. We have joint exercises with US units quite regularly. Remember, the Cold War is over now. HotRodDeluxe, For your information... I posted these links to debunk the rumor that "200 Russians" were here in Colorado and that the rumors claiming the drills would involve the Russians seizing CIA computers in Denver and taking over the city’s airport were just RUMORS. After hearing the rumors, I did some more investigation and I am updating this thread with what I found and links to the articles. I wrote: According to news sources there are only 22 Russians here. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/05/17/us-russian-soldiers-train_n_1525502.html So hopefully we aren't being invaded by Russians. It was just a ridiculous rumor. |

It was just a ridiculous rumor. Exactly, what's your problem? I should ask you the same thing. You are the one who said "Big deal." And it is a big deal to expose blatant liars and disinformation agents like Doug Hagmann and religious fanatic dooms dayers like Rick Wiles who spread outrageous absurd lies and stories in an effort to stir people up towards their ridiculous end of the world prophecies. If you think I am here to appose you and everything you post you are highly mistaken. If you ever say anything I agree with, I will let you know. I don't appose YOU. This is not personal. I will not take a stand against you just because we don't agree on most things. So from now on, if you are going to read my posts, read them with an open mind and not with such an attitude. I am not your enemy. I just want to know the truth about what is going on in this country. |

Doug Hagmann and religious fanatics like Rick Wiles are the ones who started these rumors and I was wrong to even post this thread before I checked them out. If I could, I would delete the entire thread.
But instead, I posted links to a more balanced news story. I apologize for this thread. Now if it turns out that 200 instead of 22 Russians are here and that they are not going home in three weeks, (which I doubt is the case) then I will revisit the subject. And I will make some signs and go to Fort Carson. "RUSSIANS GO HOME." |

Sorry but the US will not call in Spetznaz troops to quell any disturbance. It is a joint exercise. Besides which there is already a treaty in place for such a situation. http://www.globalresearch.ca/index.php?context=va&aid=8551 Now..Learn to sing 'O Canada' in both official languages. yep few years now the fed has had an agreement w/canada seeing as federal troops being used against americans is against the constitution welcome the northern neighbor coming to squash the organized militias you can own a weapon if you are in an organized militia ----the argument to take individuals right to own weapons away per misinterpretation of second amendment---- here the catch---- if you are an organized militia you become a terrorist group Canada and the U.S. have signed an agreement that paves the way for the militaries from either nation to send troops across each other’s borders during an emergency, but some are questioning why the Harper government has kept silent on the deal.
