Just like anything else, some men are intimidated and some aren't. I'm not sure they'd admit to being intimidated, though.

As far as I can see, everybody is intimidated by those who are more intelligent than they are. When actually what we should be intimidated by is stupid people.

I'm curious to know if men are intimidated by smart women. Not really, I do feel just a bit intimated by the very smart ones, just because I'm not that smart, but it's not enough to stop me from getting what I want or anything. I actually enjoy it because it encourages me to learn more, so I guess it's not really intimidation, more like inspiration. :) |

According to Gardner, there are 7 types of intelligence. Which one are you referring to? And where are these supposedly smart women, all I find are smartazz women.

Yes, i suppose it was rather stupid of me to pose a question in such an intimidating way. I was trying to avoid having to go in depth on the question, because i find that too may layers tends to detract from the actual question.
What i should've asked was....why do men feel intimidated by women who make more money than they do? ![]() |

Don't know. Societal conditioning that the man should be the breadwinner? Insecurity? I have dated a lot of nurses, who made more than me, didn't bother me. Now however, their spending habits is another story...

What i should've asked was....why do men feel intimidated by women who make more money than they do? ![]() It doesn't take intelligence to make money. That's a totally different topic. There's a $1.3 million dollar home right by the lake here, in an area where a $100K is an insane asking price on a home. There's nothing around here that would justify someone with that much money to stay here. It seems that money actually makes a lot of people stupid. |
