Well its over! Ed Carpenter finished 21st today, and drove brilliantly during the race! Nice job Ed!!!

Dario Franchitti prevailed in a wild duel as Takuma Sato crashed while attempting to pass Franchitti on the final lap of the 96th Indianapolis 500.

It was Franchitti’s third Indy 500 victory, one that set records for heat and lead changes.Ed Carpenter filled the field when he locked down the 28th spot and pushed former Formula One driver Jean Alesi to the 33rd spot. That ended a weekend of frustration for Carpenter, who crashed Saturday while preparing to qualify and had to use a backup car Sunday.Because of two accidents and the troubles of Lotus to field competitive entries and keep its teams under contract, 33 cars were a dicey proposition up until Carpenter put his Chevy-powered backup car in the race with a four-lap average of 222.324 mph Sunday.

Formula One ROCKS!!!! . Looks like we both like our motor racing :P. I try never to miss it when it's on. I'm quite the petrol-head.

My mother raced the 1/4 mile drags, the powder puff, the crazy 8, and the demolition derby, so I grew up around the whole racing scene. Ill never forget sitting in Mario Andrettis car! That was so exciting for a little girl who loved racing.
