You didn't get to know anything about her before meeting? I would think that if you were meeting, there was some sort of interest there, whether it was friends or more. So no, I don't think giving you some candy would have been weird.

She was far too over friendly, that was her problem.

And now she has a hole in her pocket.

Was she supposed to not be friendly?

I think her two year old daughter, would have been much better of with the candy, kids love sweets :)

She could have still been friendly, just in a more responcible way =)

What is the responsible way to be friendly?

I have met up with people offline and all of them were exactly the same as their profiles. We never chatted in a forum first either. Noone commented that I was any different than what I portray online.

If you hang out in the forums, you get a pretty accurate sense of people. Mannerisms may surprise you, but what's down at the core is the most important.

I don't know, it certainly wasn't a word in her book.

I should have asked her for £300.00, I would most likely have gotten it :P

I somewhat agree that you get a sense of people in the forums. However, without knowing more about them other than what they write here, you may get the wrong sense as well. For example, those who don't know me well sometimes do not like when I ask questions and seem to think I'm being b*tchy or take offense to the questions when there is no reason to do so. Those who do know me don't think the same way at all.

I don't know about the rest of you, but I need to meet people in person to see how they act and their mannerisms. What about you?

I mean, online is okay and all, but we are meeting people's online persona's (sp) and not necessarily who they are. My online persona outta be a klutz...laugh

Do you find yourself more assertive, talkative, shy, outgoing, etc when online as compared to real live in-your-face meetings?

Admittedly i am a little bit different here than on FB, because all of my friends i have on FB, i do see in real life, so there is no need to show them how i truly am...they already know. Here is different, because i know that i will probably never get to meet any of you, so i do have to be a bit more open....if that makes sense

I started chatting with someone on here who is now a friend of mine, thinking we'd never meet. Since then, we've been able to get together twice. So, you never know.

When I'm online, I don't have to wear my human guise, and I don't have to hide whenever I see a police officer. As long as nobody here recognizes me from America's Most . . .

Never mind.

I'd forgotten about these comics!

This magnet was on my fridge throughout my daughter's HS years! (She took it with her!)
