Have you taken him to the vet?

I did. He said he may still be adjusting to all the moving around we've been. IDK, maybe...

Do they have fat and protein supplements for cats? I'm sure they do, but has anyone ever seen anything like that? If so, what is it, and where did you find it?

My cat is losing too much weight, even though he's eating plenty, and not as active as he used to be.

I think maybe supplements may help him to gain weight.

What else, besides giving him table scraps could I do to help him gain weight?

A cat that old may have rotten teeth and pain when eating.

If the cat has feline leukemia there are steroid pills you can give them that will bring them back to beautiful and increase their eating until the cat dies of the disease. A half a pill a week will do wonders, it depends on the dosage. He will enjoy the rest of his life, although it may not be very long.

I've seen cats live to 20 years though.

Actually, aside from being stained his teeth are pretty good. He eats a lot, but he's also pretty active. I play with him a lot to keep him active and healthy.

He doesn't seem to be in any pain or anything.

He's very chatty, but I think it's because I talk to him a lot. lol

tape worm? or worms? It could be just that he is getting old.

I saw a cat once that was 23 years old. He was very skinny, he look terrible. He was just old.

The vet didn't find anything, and his litter is clean, no sign of worms or anything. Could be just getting old.

I was thinking maybe he's just getting old, which is why I was wondering if they had any supplements for cats. I found some daily vitamins that I started giving him. I'm not sure if they're more of a treat or what yet though, still too soon to tell.

I am glad to hear you took him to the vet.And they said they could not find a problem.
They would of found the Leukemia.Every case I have seem was yellowing of the roof of the mouth. You may want to keep an eye on that.

Posibly, he's a rescue. I think he has some blue mix in him.

When he was five weeks old, he was a much darker grey, almost black. I wanted a black cat so when I got him I was hoping he would grow into a black cat, but he didn't. lol

When younger I would always get compliments on his coat and how beautiful he was, even from cat haters. He has a very lovable personality too.

do you know for sure? One of my cats disappeared and we heard rumours about our ex neighbours, but we will never be sure.

My neighbor told us he killed the stray.

Did the vet rule out hyperthyroidism? Did you have the "senior pet" labwork done?

If you've been moving a lot, that could be the reason. I think the older they get, the less they like change. But keep an eye on him. He looks like a nice guy.
