Wasn’t looking for her, don’t think she was looking for me
Guess we both have a passion for royalty Maybe its loyalty Has us crossing paths Found myself getting chill bumps every time she laugh Or crack a smile I’m just a revolutionary who hasn’t felt love in a while I dig her style I dig her grace I’m on the book steady looking at pictures of her beautiful face I want to get her in my space Seem like it will never happen She live with a dude who is known for gun clapping All day and night trapping I just back away, deal with real life Just heard the other day, that this dude got down on one knee and asked her to be his wife Don’t want to sound like a hater but she can do better Last time he got booked, she told me it was the coldest winter ever He never returned her letters Never called home, even though at trial he whispered he would never forget her 2 years passed He came home and promised her he would never get locked back up One week later he back ripping the block up Got his rocks up Started rolling with his old crew 3:00 AM she calling me asking what should she do I’m tired of him running the streets and leaving me home like its cool Might sound harsh You made the bed that you lay in She has no job, no family he takes care of me plus he pay rent She tired of crying and praying We sat on the phone for a moment quietly You could hear him come in, his voice growing violently Didn’t want to hang up, couldn’t let myself Next morning I found out he strangled her to death I could never feel the pain that she felt Sad part about it, only me and him heard her take her last breath Now I’m standing at her casket trying to fight back my tears I should’ve done something about the pain she endured Throughout our friendship years You can’t make a woman leave a man she loves If I could we wouldn’t be here releasing doves Now I know when Prince says doves cry Having nightmares of her gasping for air, wake up and tears fly He left the scene now her case cold She died at only 27 years old No family was told She had no next of kin God forgive me for my pin For it know not what it do Just trying to display truth Amongst the youth That the street game last only a few seconds…… ….I just hope somebody out there get the message copyright © 2012 |
