Topic: looking for a free, violent 1st person shooter

I just need something like the old "Doom" series. Once in a while I'm in the mood to kill people. id apparently doesn't make shareware anymore...so, any suggestions? (and I want something available for free download, too) Thanks!

America's Army First 1st person shooter produced by the US Army. It's actually pretty good. Or heck, just use this link to find a list of freeware first-person shooters.

Man. Just a buy a gun already. You know you want to :P. Just kidding. Video games where you get an interactive gun with em. That may work.

assaultcube, cube, and sauerbraten are in my tops I also like Open Arena, and Nexuiz as well as Xonotic. Hope this list helps get you started :]
