So heavy use of alcohol enables a person to have an open vision? What about drugs?

I had experienced a vision a short vision once that seemed to be real at the time. Later it was indeed.

I wouldn't know about that.

TAZZOPS Would u be comfortable sharing? Khwarrior, My thoughts are that skills are learned and mastered. I think if it was a gift you will never master it. If it is chance, how could u master something that comes at random?

Drugs. Are definitly ways to have open visions. Some of my old friends have shared their stories with me, sshh! Thats their business. I personally put visions under the influence into the hallucinatory catagory.

Like Khiwarrior said. It's all three, chance, gift and learned. If you can figure out the trigger, then you can train it to become more controlled.


Oh, and I don't use drugs, personally, or drink. Comparing to friends who do, it's usually about the same, but mine are more consistent. I tried shrooms a couple times, didn't like the affects.

I would say, the closest thing I had to what you are describing is the deja vu, especially with the wedding and the death of my first pot-belly pig. But I'd dreamed those before hand, and then when it actually happened, it was like I was standing outside my body detached, while everything was happening.

So do I.

I can't say that I have ever had a vision.
I have had a few preminitions.....
which did indeed later come to fruition!!!
One I wish had not.

I"ve had two Open Visions. Both were very freaky. The first one happened while I was having a vasal vagel response to a chemical smell (Basically blood pressure drops and it won't regulate, then heart rate goes crazy.) So, with that one, I definitely attribute my altered state to me being open to the visions. However, the vision I was having was directly related to the EMS responder that was helping me, and I was talking to him about it while it was happening, so maybe my health situation had nothing to do with it and it was all in the timing.

The second one happened while I was walking down the hall at work, and I was in completely fine health. I saw a girl getting locked into locker by her two friends, I was approaching them and trying to get them to stop what they were doing. When the locker opened again, there was nobody in it. A coat, books, the usual. It is quite possible I saw a ghost.

EQUUSDANCER I regularily dream of the future and i dont like it at all. I also had an amazing dream before my husband died of me boarding a plane, i was alone and i freaked out because he was not with me. Then i looked out the window and he was watching

me with incredible love and concern in his eyes. We were best friends and inseparable. I knew we were going to be apart, that I was going on a journey, but he will be waiting for me. I had two other dreams of his death i wont share.

i spontaneously had 3 visions in a row back in 2002, 3 scene's were presented to me, but from what i remember they were really normal scene's...nothing big seemed to be happening...but i dont really remember them...i know one of them has happened...the others i dunno...it was an odd experience

KHWARRIOR did you write them down? Or are they still vivid in your mind as often open visions are?

when u say open vision, do u mean one where u see yourself as present in the situation and it is happening around u..? (as i assumed) or do u mean one that u see internally..?? coz these were internal, i was trying to sleep, i felt a strong pressure o nmy 3rd eye and my eyes rolled up into my head and 3 scenes presented themselves to me...it was like the old movies where the black circle opens up and the scene starts...one was a bunch of people at like a train station or something...just standing around...i dont remember the others...but i remember thinking they were oddly normal situations...no explosions...no murders...no treasures....it was like i tuned into a crappy tv show lol but i do remember seeing the first scene a few years ago (these visions happened back in 2002)...it was odd...it didnt seem to serve a purpose...but maybe i was just meant to experience the fact that they can happen...
