Getting the boot from Fort Knox is the latest wrinkle in a controversy that began last weekend at an NRA convention and led to a visit from the Secret Service.

Citing inflammatory language while expressing his displeasure with President Barack Obama, the military has uninvited rock star and conservative political activist Ted Nugent from performing at Fort Knox in Kentucky, according to the U.S. Army post's Facebook page.

Jeese I would think he would never have been invited in the first place due to the fact he dodged the draft for vietnam by pretending to be insane.

When you realy apply yourself to this you have to wonder about the morals of Nugent he must be the weakest man in america.

On one hand he dodged the draft by basicly crapping himself for days and on the othe hand he runs around shooting his mouth about the NRA and then has the nerve to exploit young troops with a paid military preformance.

It boggles the mind to contemplate his morals if he actualy has any.

I did basic at FT Knox and I allways knew about Nugents pants crapping episode to avoid the draft, I can picture myself in the PX reading a paper headlined "Nugent to preform for the troops"

I don't blame Ted for dodging the draft any more than I blame Clinton or Al Franken. Ted does a tremendous amount to support the military and wounded veterans and for that I salute him, just a different way of serving the country. Its just Hussein Obama and his cronies are very sensitive and with that I say Obama is weak.

Clinton was ordered and supposed to report to the draft board but wouldn't leave England, he stalled so long the war ended for us. While I will admit he did good as president, I couldn't vote for him personally. Hey, if I had to go, so did everyone else!

He wasn't actually drafted, though.

Because he never reported like he promised and stalled. His draft board major wrote a report saying he was vile and dishonest and slippery to the max.

The federal government ended the draft deferments for most graduate students - February 16, 1968 making Clinton eligible
The draft board reclassified him as 1-A (available immediately) - March 20, 1968.
The war ended - 1975 (I believe)

so Clinton did some serious ducking and dodging to avoid the draft.

As far as Nugent....you would THINK Fort Knox would have known something about him before they hired him to perform huh?

It does show that he did another year at Oxford and didn't join the ROTC like he was supposed to. But, it also shows that his draft lottery number never came up, so he was not drafted.

Back on topic. The military curtails some of your rights to foster unit cohesiveness which makes you live through the war, or rather helps you. There wasn't much love for Jane Fonda either.

I do not blame him either but what I find discusting, like most chickenhawks is they dodge the draft or service then turn around and make a fast buck off the troops.
