You can only change so much in life though.

Whether you think you can or you think you can't, you're right. ~Henry Ford

Some things in life are not in our control, no matter what our perception is.

Name one.

A herpe.

You can't make someone care for their children, if they're not willing to do so.

You can't prevent death.

You can't stop someone from doing drugs, if they don't want to stop.

You can't stop someone from killing themself, if they're not willing to live.

You can't walk on a broken leg.

Like I said...you can't change people. But, if your happiness in life depends on other people and what they do, you will never be happy for long.

I'll give you the "death" one.

But, you can walk on a broken leg. It just hurts like hell.

I'm fairly sure the government got that one figured out. They just don't want US to know.....

Other people are not in our control. We cannot make the people around be the way we want them to be.

Nobody told Hitler that.

You can change things for yourself, though. You can't change others.

As for the broken leg, you can use crutches :).

What's your point? Because you do not have the cure for these, you cannot be happy in life?

Changing yourself and your life takes effort. A lot of effort. Most people, myself included at times, would rather just believe that change is not possible.

No. I've had a very full life but..

The only 3 ladies I wanted to truly be with didn't want me so I lack in the love life.

Get your minds out of the gutter not all 3 at once. Spread out over the years.

Just saying not everything is in our control. Not everything has to do with our perception of things. Some times there are bad things in life, and we have to accept that. Nothing wrong with realizing the negative as well as the positive.

It's easier to believe that change isn't possible than it is to put effort into making changes.

You CAN make someone care for their children. The government just makes it so easy for them not to.

Of course you can prevent death. Two words....... Keith Richards....

Yes, you can stop somebody from doing drugs. It's called duct tape.

Once again, duct tape. You can't kill yourself by holding your breath.

You CAN walk on a broken leg. Some pain killers may make it easier. However, depends on HOW broken. In some cases, yep, use duct tape.

So even though you lived a full life, you have an unhappy life because a few women didn't return your feelings?

Diabetes isn't in our control? Tell that to Wilford Brimley!

Cancer, well, there's quite a few survivors out there. I don't give it much longer before it's TOTALLY under our control.

There are a couple of things in my early years that I would change if I could, can't, so just move ahead.. I have had a very full and adventurous life with beautiful children and gkids.. There are many things I want to do yet but if I would die tomorrow, I would be ok with that...Just keep as many negatives out of your life and it will be sooooo much better...happy
