i have a 4 gb flash drive that was working fine last time i put files on it but i brought it over to my brothers and plugged it into his laptop and now i get a "this drive has not been formatted" error and it asks if i want to format it now.i click yes,then it says it cannot be formatted.anyone know how to fix this?

By clicking yes you just deleted everything on it. I always click no and they always work. It may take a few minutes for the computer to recognize,but seeing as you have allready clicked yes it's to late.

i think my neighbor deleted some hidden files on it while trying to put a bootable windows os on it

Buy a new one, it has possibly gone bad.
