Go to Wal mart and hit on some hotties. Try the mall, go out to eat, book stores, etc. You have plenty of options, even if it is getting late.

Consider art galleries and museums....rarely an entry fee and some cool atmosphere...usually jazz music. Easy and laid back. Still, very cool and it introduces you to different people.

My absolute favorite local attraction is the Artwalk down town. Half the artists suck...most of the rest don't suck as much. It s cool....free beer, wine, hor's devoeures....Meeting al sorts of different people.

The big trick is making sure to look people in the eye, smile and actually speak to them (Howdy, Howzit goin?, What's up Brother?)

If don't hit that...I get the best pix from our zoo. It is soooo cool and a very cheap date!

:)

Sial 211 from any ATT phne and ask about volunteer orgaizations. It can be a great way to make new fre=iends, learn new skills, and even find great resources for yourself. Sometimes the activities are really casual jeans and tshirt type dess codes , often in parks or communitiy venues, on public transportation, and some even provide a lunch or at least snacks. Many are co-ed and some require only minor orientations or small blocks of time maybe a day or less. A great way to make friends outside of your work place, immediate neighborhood if you like and some actually lead to opportunities for travel, rubbing elbows with celebritiies., and potenial employers.
