I am an atheist and i think that bible is just a fairy tale for grown-ups and a good way to manipulate stupid people.
however one day i started to think about gods and devils actions.
i understand that god released punished people and killed them .. with natures powers, he killed many people , but devil.. i believe he killed like 2 people, and he rules over hell.. but if he isn't such a bad guy.. maybe he is forced to do his job just like most us?

yes i know.. but nevertheless everybody marks devil as a super bad guy why not consider that god is the bad one!

Or simply the negative polarity of the same magnetic field. :shrug: Who knows? Interesting concepts, but sadly they were created by people who thought the earth was flat and the sun revolved around us. Oh yeah, and slavery, female subjugation, child murder... The list goes on. When you put the god/satan concept into the proper context, it really becomes apparent just how silly religion really is.

WoW....... GOD only Blesses people! When you give it is a Blessing when you recieve it's just getting something......God is good ......Only you have to give him a chance or you will never have a clue!!

And true life experiences too. I know GOD is with me always! It's peoples own ignorance to believe that GOD is anything other than good!!!

Say-tin is submissive to God. He needs God's permission to do anything.

He is considered the "tempter" by Jews, who also believe he is subserviant to God.

Do I think Satan is forced to do his job?

What is his job?

And what would be God's motive for forcing him to do it?

I need more information to decide if Satan is being forced to do something.

By the way, I believe that the early gnostic Christians believed that there were 2 gods. The evil God of the Old Testament and the good God of the New Testament.

Maybe there is someone here who knows about that.

We live in a world ruled by opposites. When people say there is only one God, they could be right. He has two faces.

Good and evil.

Therefore, the good side is what people worship as the good father and the bad side of God is what people call the Devil.

It is all the same god.

The devil was once second to God. He has done many great deeds for God, but because of his great deeds and power, he allowed his pride to get out of control. He thought that he could over throw God, so he was cast out of Heaven. God still uses him to carry God's plans.

The amazing Urantia book tells a different story about the rebellion and the war in heaven. Lucifer questioned the authority of Michael and questioned the existence of God. Nobody ever saw God and Lucifer accused Michael of making him up to have control of the federation.

Well you have to have faith in the authors of the Bible to believe it is true. I don't know why people believe a 2000 year old bunch of scriptures that don't make a lot of sense.

So have I. My dad was and is a preacher. Do I take it at face value? Of course not.

it may not make sense to you, but to those of us that believes, it's all we've got and the life we live...
Christianity is a beautiful experance... when you believe, the spirit of the book comes alive in you.
