The advertisement just goes to show what this supports. A male chauvinistic mind set. This is a dating site with real ppl who wants a relationship. Why put woman who look like they want to hump everything that moves in a body that most of us don't have which leads to unrealistic expectation on the mens part. It is hard enough to put a picture up with a bunch of judgement calls than to make it worst let's put these beautiful woman right next to your picture to make it even more of a challenge. By the way where are the great looking model men, why is it all woman. I always try to look at the bright side of every situation, what I get from this is IF we do find the one we will know that this person will be a gentleman and true to the real beauty from within not just the exterior. I understand your frustration. I don't like them either. Especially when my daughter walks up behind me and asks me why "those girls don't wear a regular shirt?"
The fact is that "sex sells". It's not male chauvinism that makes that work. It's just testosterone. In a way, those ads can be helpful. Because any man who is fooled by them is probably not someone I want to date. |

Have a Great Day:) there are some cute model men also....I used to belong to a gym where a couple of them worked out (not necessarily the models on here - but male models). They look pretty regular in person - cute - but pretty normal it's marketing - use it to your advantage (as in any situation you cannot control) use it as a litmus test....would you really be interested in a man who could not see beyond the marketing traps....? even subliminally....if he doesn't understand the subliminals in marketing and cannot ignore or reject those, do u really want him as a partner???? |

Yeah, I've been thinking about this, and it makes dating very difficult for me.

Well indeed it is marketing. The fact seems to be that there are more men on these sites than women. As such, sex peddlers have an opportunity, because there arent enough gals to go around and so the fellas are more tempted to be taken in by such advertisements. Pretty much this. |

I agree there seems to be more men than women on this site. However, I am here for a serious relationship. I have been in too many bad ones that I am almost terrified to get into one. But I have overcome that. I don't want to spend the rest of my life alone.
I am particular however in whom I chose to be with. I have weeded a lot of men out by things that they say. I am an honest and good person and I deserve someone that is the same. If someone doesn't like something I say and doesn't have the balls to tell me, than to hell with them, life moves on and I move with it. |

I suppose they really don't bother me much. I don't care about breasts anyway.
If a guy has high expectations because the ad girl has bigger hooters than her head.. She just helped weed out another mistake for me.
