Man or Woman, brains are not handed out on basis of sex. Abusive personalitys are not handed on on basis of sex. This debate can go on forever, with no results. You are right. I take great offense at this though. I have a 17 year old son. I guess I should just let him know now that he's nothing but an idiot with good upper body strength. In fact, maybe we should just take all little boys out of school and put them to work doing manual labor. Since they are not as smart as women. This conversation makes me ill. I'm outta here You pretend and act as if I said that all men are idiots with upper body strength. That is not what I said. You ignored what I did say so you could get offended. I said these are generalities and statistics. MOST MEN, IN GENERAL ARE LARGER AND PHYSICALLY STRONGER THAN WOMEN. This is a known fact. Many will use their strength before they engage their brains to get what they want. This does not mean they all do. They are simply more likely to than a woman is. You are mistaken to get offended,-- but oh well... if that's what you want to do.......and just because you have a son? That's funny.

Your whole thread is based on your statement that women are smarter than men. And, you base this on the fact that women have been oppressed and killed (by the Catholic Church). And, now to add to your argument you are stating that men are stronger than women. I have stated that I agree that the Catholic Church killed heretics, both men and women. I have stated that I agree that women have been oppressed as a group. And, now I will state that I agree that men are generally stronger than women. These are all factual statements. None of which even remotely goes to providing any support to your statement than women are smarter than men. Yes, I agree that you did not say that men are idiots. But, I certainly can be and am offended. What you are doing here is NO DIFFERENT than making a derogatory statement about any group whether it's based on sex, race or ethnicity. Oh, and the most important point of all. You are simply wrong. And, you know it.

Blacks are criminals. Jews are greedy. Women are over emotional and incapable of rational thought. Men are stupid. Why is it that 3 out of 4 of these statements is completley WRONG to say? But, one is okay.

NEWFLASH!Men and women are different and will always need each other. It's always been that way and always will be. Neither is better or smarter they are just different. Thats a crock; we certainly do not need each other unless we plan to procreate. True. Men don't even need women unless they want to procreate. or need socks washed & mended and dinner at 5....and don't have a dishwasher my ex husband actaully called me out of the field on a Saturday afternoon one time to ask where the bologna was in the refrigerator...

The battle of the sexes has been going on for ages. Women are generally smaller in stature and so they can't out fight physically and win for the most part. Men have the roll of protector of a woman from the stone age. But if a man attacks a woman, she does not have much of a chance against a stronger male in a fight. Women are raped more than you might think. There was a time, not long ago when it was not against the law for a man to rape his wife. It was thought that he had the right to take her by force being married to her. Women have had to learn to use other methods to get better treatment. One of those methods is to use more than just 'sex.' They had to start using their brains. That is why I feel that they have gotten "smarter" than men in general. IT IS MY OPINION, AND I HAVE GIVEN MY REASONS FOR THAT OPINION. Anyone else is certainly entitled to have their own opinions and you are certainly entitled to feel offended by my conclusions or opinions if you want, but I think that is just silly.

I started this topic because I wanted to get people talking on a controversial subject. The forums have been rather slow and dull lately. I didn't mean it to offend anyone or for people to take it so seriously. I think its silly to be offended by other people's opinions anyway. (My opinion especially.) My opinion means nothing. These days everyone wants to be "politically correct" to a point where its getting ridiculous.

well I think we were smarter when we had it worked so that we could stay home all day and they paid for everything...including saturdays at the beauty parlor these days I'm not so sure...

We can even practice witchcraft, read tarot cards etc. without being burned at the stake. We have come a long way. By using our brains and anything else that worked.

But we can vote, own a business, be single etc. without being forced into a roll we may not want. true - we have bargained for choices and in doing so now more men seem to expect women to not only do the stay at home chores but share the financial load not sure that this is a better bargain this is one of my biggest fears of getting into a new relationship - that a man will not realize that he can't have it both ways -(at least not with me) - I will not be a homemaker and breadwinner both FT

Women and men shall ALWAYS be seen and illustrated in different light. As walls have come-down as to old beliefs and ways. Women have climbed Mountains and swam Sea's to show their equalities. Fought in Wars and traveled through space, side by side with man. And STILL, they are beaten, raped, sexually assaulted and murdered, everyday, just because they were born female. Society NEEDS to SEE THEM AS AN EQUAL TO A MAN! And CRIMES AGAINST THEM,,,,NEED TO STOP! THATS all I know in MY 54 years of LIVING HERE! Peace, harmony, and thoughts,,,need to stop finding ways to SEE THEM BOTH UNEVEN IN THEIR BALANCE TO STAND AND LIVE TOGETHER..
