I have a problem.
everytime I meet someone, I always find something wrong it could be anything, I don't know if that is because I have been widow for the last 7 years and now is when I started dating. loged in to this site even thoe I can't write english well but I thought I try anyway. I think Iam looking for someone just like my late husband, I think that because no one that I meet is the one I will like to be with. can someone help? any advice? hah? |

it sounds like you loved your husband very much and you will never find
anyone to replace him but it doesn't mean that you won't find love again. don't compare them to your late husband at look at them as a different person. |

I think you are still deeply in love with your late husband. He was your
soul mate and the love of your life. No one else may ever live up to him. |

i have no experience here, but...
i think it's a focus issue. don't focus on finding a replacement, focus on discovering a new person. no one is ever going to compare to your late husband, but then they shouldn't be. it is unfair to them and you. if i was married and i passed away, i would want my wife to move on and find a new life with a another good man if she could. |

I think it's like a person who lost a pet. They loved that pet because
it gave them comfort and was considered as part of the family. when a tragedy happens to the loved one it's hard to think of a replacement. But when you try to look for another pet that sometimes snaps you out of the grief. And after taking the pet home you grow to love it as with the one you lost. I know a pet is different from a human partner but love is love. Its a matter of shock to the system whether you loose a pet or a spouse. I'm sure he wouldn't want you to be in morning over him like the Queen Elizabeth who after loosing Prince Albert, she wore black all the rest of her life. As far as you comparing your deceased husband to other's, you just need to open you heart and mind to other's. I sounds like you still have an issue with the idea of replacing him. |

They say and I don't know who "they" are, but "Love is better the second
time around" I hope it's true, although I never lost a husband through death, I am divorced and in the same boat more less...I have the same problem in that I always find something wrong with them. Maybe we are looking to hard at superficial things that are not that important in the big scheme of it all?? I don't know, true love is so hard to find...but to all of us looking for it, you and me included Morena, may God help us all!! Jaime |

Thank you all, it may sound crazy but, after reading all your answers, I
have decided to make a change in my life, starting with, taking down his pics. change my way of thinking about dating and just start new, I need to do this for me because I deserve another chance of being happy, and live again. realy..........THANKS |

Morena, don't take all his pics. That's a part of you and a part of
your life and it always will be. It's just going to take time. I don't think your lack of being able to find someone necessarily has anything to do with the love and connection you still feel for your late husband. It's just that true love seems harder to find these days. My suggestion is just be yourself, not forgetting who you are where you came from and what is a part of your past that has made you who you are today. J |

YOU WILL NEVER FIND ANYONE LIKE YOUR LATE HUSBAND HE IS ONE OF A KIND
AND THAT IS SOMETHING THAT YOU SHOULD REALY TRY TO ACCEPT THAT THERE IS NO ONE LIKE HIM AND CHERISHED AND BE PROUD OF THAT IN YOUR HEART AND LET HIS MEMORY BE SOMETHIONG POSITIVE IN YOUR LIFE THAT WAY IT WONT BE SO HARD FOR YOU TO ACCEPT SOME ONE ELSE I WISH YOU THE BEST |
