TVA (Tennessee Valley Authority) did a study on biodiesel and the results showed some "good" positives...It is cost effective when compared to solar cell transport and clean...And of course the source would be unlimited and create more business for American farmlands....Good for you Big!!!

There are two upcoming technologies to make biodiesel, one from algae and one from seaweed that appear to be able to make large quantities quickly ... which should make it cost competitive. I hope that both work out so we need less middle eastern oil.

You are doing a good thing!

I just saw the algae biofuel at work today at The Leonardo. Never heard of it before.

I think Exxon bought the patent and has a pilot plant running in New Mexico. The algae are genetically engineered to produce diesel instead of their usual fat. Heat and light from the sun makes them grow like crazy. They harvest the algae, squeeze out the diesel, then feed the dead bodies of the algae back to the new batch for the nutrients.
