I'm a live in housekeeper and caregiver and as such I work very long hours, essentially 8 AM to 10 PM and I work quite hard if I do say so myself.

And for some reason I cant sleep. I used to have sleep issues, but they went away and now out of nowhere I can't sleep normally anymore. Three hours max a night. This is affecting my job performance and I hate doing poorly.

I have tried- natural pills, pharmecutical pills, meditation, mild exercise, hot drinks, alcohol, pot, sitting in the dark, television, movies, gaming, intense exercise, showering, bathing, reading, and knitting. To help try to get myself to sleep.

Does anyone have any other ideas?

There have been similar threads here before....I'll see if I can't
look one or two up. I find that an hour or so of fairly strenuous
physical exercises - weightlifting, stairs, jog or treadmill for
example really makes sleep easier and deeper.

Im going back to sleep.

I posted, previous thread , best I can recall:
Don't drink sodas they have something that wont allow you to sleep
Don't eat sweets
Don't drink alcohol
have a cup of warm to hot milk
Slice of Turkey breast
A hard-boiled egg

4sure. Milk works! I used to do that for someone who had severe challenges at work. That would knock him down. (Life-partner).

After 5 don't eat heavily. A plate of salad, mainly lettuce, key to relaxation.
yawn

laugh happy laugh
Clarification : I didn't give a menu prior to bed time. Its, just, a choice of one to drink or eat. Prior to going to bed! yawn yawn flowerforyou drinker
