Simplicity.

Keep it simple.

Think about what you want, not what you don't want.

Think about what you have, not what you don't have.

Exactly. The hard part is getting your emotions to line up with what you want. If you are very depressed about something and you are thinking about what you want, you are confusing the process. You have to feel the happiness attached to getting what you want.

Great points all. Thank you, Jeanniebean. I do visualization frequently, and I hadn't thought about this perspective. I'm definitely going to try this new (to me) line of thinking out!

One of the most powerful steps in the law of attraction and getting what you think about is INTENTION.

You can wish and hope and dream to have what you want in the future (which never comes) and nothing will ever happen.

It is when you intend, that you break through the invisible wall that keeps you from getting or having what you desire.

You must intend to have it.

When you do this a feeling of excitement anticipation will come over you and that is when you know that it is going to happen.

That is when the universe gets the green light and begins to work in your favor to get you what you want.

You will know it is working when everything clicks. There are no delays, no problems, everything goes along smoothly like things are just falling into your lap by some miracle.

Wishing, hoping and dreaming do not require much energy. Holding an intention can be quite draining. But, that is what magic is.

The most interesting part of this process is finding out what you really want.

Yes. Decide what you want. Be honest about it. Intend to get it. Put your attention on it.

If you don't do that, you are going no where. If you keep your attention on what you don't want, you perpetuate it.

When you create a ritual or process to make your intention you will find out if you really want what you think you want. That's why I like spell writing/casting. You really have to think it through and be specific about what you are asking for. If you're not, one of two things will happen. You'll get nothing. Or worse, you'll get something you didn't quite expect.

Intention is so important. I'm learning that I better be very sure I want what I'm asking for because the road to get it/there is very complex and full of testing times!

Thank you for the lovely reminders and ideas, all. flowerforyou

I don't find Intention to be draining. Intention is like a decision. It is not a wish or a hope. It is the decision to do or have.

What might be draining is holding your attention on the target. There are always so many distractions and sometimes we get off track and wander.

When you intend, then you have to hold your attention on the goal or target and don't let someone or something distract you from it.

There are people, friends and family who have their own ideas and they will cross your path and make suggestions and sometimes you wander into their way of thinking and you find yourself changing your plans or intentions.

But you must hold to your own vision and be clear about what you are going to do and where you are going and don't let other people detour you or distract you. Chances are, they are just dreaming and wandering themselves and chances are they do not hold a clear and detailed goal themselves. Don't follow them who know not where they are going.

Know where you are going and stay focused.
