Coming home tonight I had a close call with a black cat. It was tempting to cross my path. If the cat had succeeded, then I would have been cursed with bad luck. So I sped up my car. Which one of us won? Well . . . the city's public works department should be able to scoop up the mess in the morning. Oh, come on! Do you really believe that I would intentionally run over a cat? I ran over a black cat once right in front of the kid that owned it. It ran right out in front of me while I was going around 45-50mph, so was obviously an accident, but seemingly it is bad luck. I hydroplaned and totaled that Camaro a few months later!
