Originally, I was going to play 30,000 Pounds of Bananas because of what happens when you drink and drive.
Looking through my music collection, I think it's time to add some country music. Today's country music appeals to me much more than the country stuff I grew up with. Johnny Cash, Willy Nelson, and Kenny Rogers are part of a select group of country artists I listen to from my childhood, along with Charlie Daniels and a little Hank Williams Jr. But to get things back on to an up beat....I'll send you all one of my favorite Blue Brothers covers. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YnaSRhMB_qo And yes....I can sing this song pretty well. Someday when I manage to give up smoking for good, maybe I'll try to actually take up singing as a hobby. I used to do a pretty good version of Otis Redding's "Try A Little Tenderness". That took an awful lot of practice to get down, especially the ending. |

This song is dedicated to my 7th grade science teacher that I was madly in love with. He danced with me at the school dance to this song.

I hear that. One of my favorites, and it's the ending that always gets me. I can hit all the notes, but its the tempo and abrupt changes that throws me off. Admittedly, smoking doesn't help any at all. |
