Messi is a great player, but he is no Pele or Maradona. The measure of the greatest is to succeed at the World Cup when are playing for your country and against the best players in the world. Messi was not a factor and didn't even make the best 11 for the 2010 World Cup tournament. It's impossible to say he is as good or better than the best.
yeah its true what you are saying but soccer evolves soccer today is not the same as soccer 10 20 30 years ago its different rules and regulations have changed making it hard to score goals and win games...there's alot of talent in club level and more so in International level

Exactly Messi was not the Reason Argentina lost the World Cup. He has at least 2 more World cups to show the world he is the best.
