I just went to watch it tonight, and I have to be honest and say I was not all that impressed with it. Even had I NOT read the book first, i would have rated it as ok.
But as far as having read the book first, there was just way too much changed or just plain left out (for example, there was NOTHING about harry and the weasley twins being banned from quidditch) |

ive seen it...liked it however was somewhat dissappointed in it..it just didnt hold up againist the others

I know what you mean comparing it to the others. I dont know what the differance was, but it just felt like it wasnt even part of the series if you know what I mean.

Y'know, I felt that way about the ones previous, and I just sort of expected it in this one. They ARE pretty long movies, and while as a purist I would love to see them exactly reflect the book, as a realist it isn't going to happen.
To be fair, those movies are better adaptations than a majority of the movies based off of books. King and Crichton wished they had it so good, lol
