I traveled all around the country trying to find a bartender that could make a Zombie off the top of their head.

Finally found one in a pink castle in St. Petersburg, FL.

She told me it would be 20 dollars.

I bought a fifth instead.

One day I'm going to go back to that ridiculous pink castle, with its extravagant private beach and strange TV-order music collection, and I'll take her up on the offer.

What is a miner's shot? When I look that up in Google I just get horrific stories of South African miners being shot dead.

not sure what they drink in diamond down but to a pennsylvanian by birth a miner's shot is a boilermaker

a shot of wild turkey dropped straight down (in the glass) into a draft

the choice of the coal miners in the pool halls .... and sometimes their ladies

they bellied up to the bar and put the dollars down. from the grime on their hands she knew they had worked that day and could pay

I've been to St Pete once...as a child...and was bitten by a parrot on a tourist outing

yay

Hahaha. St. Pete is pretty cool. I lived there briefly. It was... quite racist. I always forget that Florida still counts as the south.

I'm sorry about the parrot. Parrots are... kinda *****.

Also, I love how the genesis of so many drinks is just taking a shot of something and dropping it in beer. Irish Carbombs... disgusting, but I've had a fair share just because I think the name is catchy.

she languished on the gulf side where the water was too warm

no waves no handsome surf boys

sometime soon she'd go to Ft Lauderdale to see the boys in cars and tennis whites

and sail. what a love that is, now isn't it?

kc... you have some serious courage. For real. I've done some crazy stuff, and I love giant cats (they're awesome, come on)... but that is on another level.

Now I want to play with giant cats.

Also, great pictures. I dig the one with the three tigers just kinda chilling in formation.

the panthers in Fla are elusive and endangered - it's more likely to not see oneflowerforyou
