WE made it to Fifty, and some much more.
As we all wait and see just how much we have New to explore.
For we've Climbed many Mountains, Driven-over many hills.
Picked-up our asssses, re-claimed our virtues, paid-our-bills.
Experienced love and confusions, had many life-lived transfusions.
Felt dis-placed, been replaced. Over-thrown, out-grown.
Shattered, lathered, bathed and shaved.
Been picked-up, been put-down, even felt, past around.
Kids all grown, spouse past on, left to rule our single throne.
Went from spit-up,to set-up, heard some shut-up, now GET-UP.
Teased and Pleased, sneezed, and wheezed, dreading diseased.
Made love all night, a passing sight, now its can you flip the light
From vanity in the mirror, to that wake-up, SHH, morning terror.
Smooth skin on my baby face, now its dropped, every place..
What once was so cool to show, now things their, start to grow.
Wild hairs, freckles, and moles, as age gives-way its tolls.
From a baby powder sprinkle, to OMG, NOT ANOTHER WINKLE?
Lets look to see us all new once more,
inside and outside, we all have many things to adore.
Out with how we think we're old,
and live to dream about , this New Year to unfold.

I, too, had just turned 50 when I joined. Met lots of friends, a few I still see are here, but many have moved on. Here's to life continuing to move on.

My daughter gets married this year. I am so excited.

I turn 60 this year...very soon. I am NOT excited!
