that's gross, Mary If you think that's gross, you haven't seen this yet: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=no3JHugE6QM&feature=youtu.be For all you non-dressage people, it's a method of horseback riding that expects a very subtle control of the horse's body. It's an Olympic sport. Lateral work in dressage means teaching the horse to step sideways while still going forward (kind of like the footwork you'd see with a soccer player trying to advance the ball, maybe). But, uh, I've never seen anything like this. "Simon" is apparently the pink and blue horsey noodles. I really hope this isn't too over the edge for this forum. It made me laugh hysterically in a kind of round-eyed way. Oh, by the way, the vast majority of dressage riders are women, that's why they're training the man.

Dressage is a beautiful thing to watch..I personally have never rode it...I prefer western...but I am glad they are changing the way they train both the horses and the men.
