ORLANDO, Fla. – The Orange County Sheriff's Office in Florida arrested one of their own after the deputy was accused of improperly touching a disabled woman.

Deputy William Martinez, 56, was charged Tuesday with lewd or lascivious behavior of a disabled person following an incident that happened Oct. 31.

According to an incident report, Martinez went to the victim's home in the overnight hours to conduct a well-being check and allegedly touched the clothing covering the woman's buttocks, breast and genital areas repeatedly while attempting to persuade an intimate encounter.

The report also claimed that Martinez suggested he could help her take a shower or lie down in the bedroom. The victim declined Martinez.

The sheriff's office in Orlando, Fla., said the alleged victim came forward to report Martinez's actions and he was suspended and reassigned to non-law-enforcement duties.

An investigation was launched immediately and resulted in criminal charges being filed.

Martinez was set to make his first appearance in court Wednesday.

Lp.... we have our differences, that's unmistakable, but please look for confirmation from places other than Faux News for credibility.

Believe me when I say you will get more respect. Faux News is like bad breath.... it turns people away!

It's nothing personal, and I don't challenge YOUR right to have faith, but Faux is NOT reputable....only to Faux and the other media they control....NOBODY else.

I don't think you are a bad person. Faux gets tips (by illegal means) and then spins it...most know this, as they are on trial in the UK for just that!

When you see it on Faux, check it thru other sources, and somewhere in the middle you may find the facts.

An Orange County sheriff's deputy who is accused of molesting a woman appeared in court Wednesday.
CNN

Investigators with the Orange County Sheriff's Office said Deputy William Martinez, 56, inappropriately touched a woman during a well-being check.
"We would ask for a release on his own recognize, (or as an) alternative a monetary bond as low as possible, and we point to the fact he has no reason to leave -- (he) has a reason to stay in jurisdiction to clear his good name of 55 years," an attorney said.

Martinez appeared before a judge Wednesday morning. He faces a molestation charge after allegedly targeting a mentally disabled woman while dressed in uniform with a firearm.

According to an arrest affidavit, Martinez tried to talk the woman into having a sexual encounter and continued touching her when she declined.
The victim came forward on Oct. 31, investigators said. The report prompted an investigation which led to Martinez's arrest Tuesday.

PBS I can handle....publicly funded

But Rupert owns 70% of the national media so being #1 is as easy as floating your own boat. It's like VW buying out Saab and then saying Saab is bad and closing the doors to bankruptcy..... who would disagree? They still make money!

Just because Fox has tons of spin, and the company is guilty of illegally listening in on private phone calls does not mean that it reports lies.

It does spread rumors sometimes and propaganda galore.

Basically I consider all news sources questionable. I look at them the same way I look at scandal magazines because anymore, that's just about what they are.

Does anyone know a real reliable news source that is not censored and not based on ratings?

Your own logic

Yes perhaps it is my own logic. It works for me very well.

I don't discount any source. All sources have their pros and cons and you can learn a lot about what they report and why the report it whether it is true or not.

That is why I have to look at all information and decide for myself what is going on by cross checking.

There you have it. drinker

But you still must evaluate all information to ascertain what might be true.

That is what I do. I never completely toss it or disregard it.

The Bill O'Rielly's, Alex Jones's, Obamas and Ron Pauls of the world can only inspire....they can NOT control, unless they are allowed to.

I support Ron Paul because I feel he is the ONLY one who believes that! AND SUPPORTS IT!

Racist? Who cares if his priciples say you have the same rights as EVERYONE else?

Anti-semetic? Again, he believes in the constitution and thinks EVERYONE is entitled to believe as they will...as long as it doesn't enfringe on the rights of another.

It's called "FREE WILL", under the law, which means you have rights but can't impose upon anothers!

It's a No Brainer in my book, but that is simply MY opinion!

I am upset when I read the media post saying RP is this or that, his views are dangerous, crazy,....the establishment would say such things because independant thought is against their power to control!

The constitution is CLEAR! It is paid for by BLOOD, Defended by blood! Sworn to, but NOT followed!

This is my reason for supporting Ron Paul! NO OTHER!

I hope that clarifies my position for this election, and my choice is accepted as reasonable FOR ME.

So, who cares how much the guy owns, his news sources tend to be right on the money ore times then not.

As of January 2011, the Democratic Party-affiliated Public Policy Polling reports that Fox News Channel is the second-most trusted television news network in the country, with 42% of respondents reporting they trust the network, compared to other major news channels (behind PBS which stands at 50%, and ahead of NBC at 41%, CNN at 40%, CBS at 36%, and ABC at 35%).

Who cares if he is racist? I do! There is no need for racism or anti semitism in society, especially from our leadership.
