I dont get 'you're shallow' often. I do get 'you wont do better than me' or 'you're not all that, you know.' These statements are actually the same. Im not actually looking for 'better'. Im looking for 'a match'. I don't even get that; I get comments like "I can do better than you and younger" or "I can't date you as I am used to dating prettier women". The second comment hurt a tad. You should say, 'well, its a contest so you'll have to keep me informed so I know who wins'. Or....'Hopefully, better, younger, and prettier arent looking for class, and good luck' Sorry that guy slipped through your fingers. he he. Aweseome come backs. |

Seriously? I'm getting the feeling this is the trick to true attraction. They always say personality but more I see A LOT of good looking (up for debate, prerequisites: hot body (six-pack), nice jawlines) people with head shots in their pockets walking around with each other on the streets. I wonder what else they have in common with each other besides doing the nasty. Ehhh...LA 
Since this is nothing but stereotypical nonsense, I think you're just mad because you can have what it is you seek.

It is definitely tough living in LA. If you're not perfect looking you better have the money to fix how you look. Or do what I do and not care.

Example of the opposite...Seal and Heidi Klum ...In all seriousness though sometimes beautiful people hang out together because they share the same interests...Like work (modeling, acting), and working out (six pack and great azz), they run in the same circles because of these shared interests so they meet and fall in love...I don't think it's always about being superficial...
I agree - it might be shallowness - meaning nothing matters but appearances - but often there is more like shared interests and similar hobbies because someone is attractive and wants an attractive partner does not mean they are shallow or lacking in intelligence a lot of this is judgement call stuff I am interested in things like fashion & cosmetics, fitness and I love to do hair -does that make me shallow? really. I got a 4.0 in grad school folks....

THAT IS SOOOOOO NOT TRUE THAT MODELS GO WITH MODELS. I grew up with models and photographers. I dated a Bugle Boy model at one time and I am no great stunner. He was an obnoxious twit but he liked me because I didn't recognize him from his ads. My brother, just picture a manly version of me, dated a 6 foot tall blonde gorgeous bikini model. Why??? Because he talked to her and recognized she had a brain. So many gorgeous people are also smart and nobody pays attention. I went with a guy a another time MUCH prettier than me. Why?? He liked my spirit. He appreciated this California Hell Cat and that I was feisty. Someone actually said he was too good looking for me and he went off with his high IQ brain insulting them for saying such a thing and when somebody really smart loves you and is pizzed they say much more hurtful things than cuss words to defend you. You would not believe how many gorgeous models are single because a nice guy won't approach, only pigs. My brother also dated another model, Sandy. I told Lex about this. How did he get her? He wrote her a fiction story about Archibald the Bunny and gave her a bunny with the story (stuffed animal). And not all male models are pigs. A lot of them get tired of being used by women. Just like some men like arm candy, there are plenty of women who want arm candy. |
