Beloved, I just want to remind us the essence of the christianity we believe in. Some of us thinks that we are christians or we are following Christ so that we can gain prosperity and success in the world. Prosperity and success is good because the bible says through prosperity the kingdom of God shall be spread abroad. But I want know that the essence of Christianity is for us to make heaven. 1Peter 1:3-4.

I disagree. I think the essence of Christianity is to:

Love the Lord your God with all your heart, mind and soul and

Love your neighbor as yourself.

Amen, I agree with Ruth. Christianity is about love and the spreading of it to the people of this world. It's not about the gaining of anything for oneself eg., Heaven, eternal life, ect. It's about the love.

Love is great and all christians should possess it. But love without Christ is dead. We can give the world our love, care and affection, but if we don't strive to make heaven, we will regret ever coming to this world. Galatians 2:16 says, Knowing that a man is not justified by works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by faith of Jesus Christ, and not by works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.

I don't see that Uc4 has said anything wrong...so do we wake up every morning just to find something to nit-pik about.

It seems that Christianity is under attack even by other Christians.
If everyone, meaning Christians, would stick to spreading the gospel
as written in the scriptures there might be a much needed revival
in this nation and the world.

You make a mockery out of the intended unity of the spirit and the bond of Christ.

If you don't understand what is written,
then may I advise you to get out your bibles and your concordances and start studying afresh.
Pray that God will give you "ears to hear what the Spirit is saying to the churches".

Stop spreading your own personal interpretations of the Word of God.
And stop splitting hairs.
If you are a true Christian you will have a burden for lost souls
or people who don't know there is a need for the pardoning of their sin.

Jesus laid the foundation...focus on the work that is needed and build upon that.

Christians are followers of Christ.

Forgive me for my outburst Ruth, and everyone.

My approach was unwarranted.

Perhaps, re-worded, Uc4's message as I perceived it was this:

Uc4 Was explaining the purpose for our Christian walk as pertaining to how we should look at PROSPERITY and SUCCESS..
Some people think we are following Christ
so that we can gain worldly success.

He said prosperity and success are good because the bible says
through prosperity the kingdom of God shall be spread abroad.

But Uc4 wants us to know that the importance is
That we are successful in bringing souls into the kingdom of Heaven...
to an "incorruptible inheritance".

This was his reference verse:
1Peter 1:3-4.

3, Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again
unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,

4, To an inheritance incorruptible,
and undefiled,
and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you,

Please forgive me for the outburst.
