Oh my god,
He's coming home.
From that god forsaken
Frozen desert.

I wonder
when exactly he'll be
here.
Will I need to hurry
to get his
Christmas present?

I am counting
every email
that says
he got home from
patrol each day.

I pray god
wouldn't be
so cruel
as to take him out
so close
before he go home
that way.

I'm afraid to
count my blessings
yet.
But you can bet
I will when he
lands in LAX
in a jumbo jet.

How did I
get so lucky
to met the perfect man?

God, did you really
need to make me
meet him while
he is roaming
barren rock and sand?

God has been so good
At a time in my life,
the sisters of fate
have been cruel.

I think I'll pass the
time praying
and reflect
on childhood
bible school.

They say some home by Christmas and the rest home by New Years Day...and I say..it's about time
