More than 5,000 people are now believed to have been killed in the uprising in Syria, the UN's top human rights official has said. Navi Pillay told a closed session of the Security Council that 14,000 people are believed to have been arrested and 12,400 fled to neighbouring countries. so the situation in the syria is getting worse. I want your thoughts and oppinions on the matter; what should the rest of the world do? Intervene like Libya? Or leave them to it and see what happens once the dust settles? |

I say, televise it as a live HBO or Showtime series.
I would leave them to settle their own conflict. Then again, I'm no warmongering Liberal. |

Syria is one of the seven countries in five years that the Pentagon wanted Taken Down....Iran is last on the list.
It has all been planned for years. 2012 is the deadline BTW. |

We can't get our own problems fixed.
Why try to fix others? Syria will eventually solve it all by themselves. |

If Syria has oil then yes! In 2010, Syria produced around 385000 barrels (61200 m3) per day of crude oil. |

We can't get our own problems fixed. Why try to fix others? Syria will eventually solve it all by themselves. My thoughts exactly! Our government's spending so much time and resources trying to rule the rest of the world we're going to chit instead of helping those us of in need (which is getting greater and greater). If only Nigeria and Ghana knew what a clusterduck we are they'd try scamming Canada instead! |

It is all in the grand scheme to take down the dictators so the Islamists can take over the whole region.. The world will be much better off with that scenario.. |
