I am looking for a good collection of short stories to read and was wondering if there are any anthologies or collections out there that people recommend? Genre doesn't really matter, I'm just looking for some good stories.

So, any suggestions? I'm all ears ... well, eyes

Thanks

This book-http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0486262448/ref=ox_sc_act_title_5?ie=UTF8&m=ATVPDKIKX0DER

contains 12 classic short stories from Russia. The English and original Russian are on opposite pages so you can compare them as you read. I especially like stories like "Death Of Dolgushov" and "Matryona's Home". :) You might also like "Eugene Onegin" (Евгенный Онегин), a story in poetic verse by Pushkin. http://www.pushkins-poems.com/Yev001.htm

Of particular awesomeness - White Angel by Michael Cunningham. One of the best short stories I've ever read.
