Topic: Proud America, Where Art Thou! | |

What a sad spectacle the once proud America has become.
Our televisions daily showcase dimwits, philanderers, robots, and morally corrupt egomaniacs as choices for the next leader of our country. And to add to the circus atmosphere we introduce an attention hungry, loud-mouthed, non-entity as the master of ceremonies for the next meeting, laughingly called a debate, of this motley crew. If this election cycle does not put to rest once and for all any claim to exceptionalism that might have existed for America, then we are a nation of self-involved idiots without a shred of self-awareness. Michelle Bachmann and Rick Perry provide comic relief with their ignorance on full display. Bachmann’s latest foreign policy statement – that she will close the non-existent American Embassy in Iran – belongs on SNL not in a presidential campaign snippet. Perry has his foot so far into his mouth he is beginning to chew on his hip. Herman Cain, whose without-basis arrogance doesn’t allow him to grasp the difference between a CEO and a presidential candidate, is an embarrassment to himself, the Republican Party, and to the world view of America. The newly resurrected version of Newt Gingrich is nothing more than a pompous *** with a sheer veneer covering the same unethical, immoral, money hungry, liar of yesteryear. And poor Mitt Romney, just keeps smiling, heh, heh, hehing, and desperately hoping that he will win the nomination by default since the other choices make him look better than he is. The only decent candidate on the Republican slate is Jon Huntsman and true to form, the base doesn’t like him. Heaven forbid they choose someone who is intelligent, competent, and knowledgeable. Watching these unfit-to-serve candidates marching across my television screen every day is right up there with Victoria’s Secret’s parade of half-naked young women dressed in underwear and wings claiming to be angels. If the goal of the Republicans was to make America a laughingstock before the world, they have certainly succeeded. If that was not their intention then, ala Perry, they have individually and collectively committed a really big oops! _______ http://www.smirkingchimp.com/thread/trish-purcell/39957/proud-america-where-art-thou |

We'll see, the media is still shunning him for some reason. Maybe it's because they can't dig up any dirt on him. I for one will love to see what happens. It will be a sure telltale sign if voting really matters, or it's all just a joke.

"The Media" mogals (those who control it ) is probably scared shirtless of him so their only option is to ignore him and continue to look for dirt on him. |
