i heard there making another movie?

Doubtful. Bay is tired of making them and wanted to move on to other projects and they killed off most of them anyways.

they didn't kill anyone off, that i remember anyway... but MB is tired of it, and says that was the last one...

Ironhide, Megatron, Star Scream, Shock Wave, Sentenial Prime, The Fallen, Soundwave, The popular two little Autobots that Sam had as pets(Wheelie and Brains) and Wheel jack. They have no villians to bring back unless they go with the Unicron plotline and bring Megatron back as Galvatron. If they do they better bring the Dinobots into it!

I would love to see them make another one and all three of them were EXTREMLY profatible.

It’s been a momentous week for the Transformers franchise. So is there going to be a Transformers 4 or a reboot? And what can we expect from it?

A couple of days ago Transformers: Dark of the Moon reached $1 billion worldwide gross. That’s $338 million in the US and $663 million internationally. Incredibly it’s the first billion dollar grossing movie in Paramount’s 99 year history. And it’s one of the 10 highest grossing films worldwide of all time. This was no doubt helped by the inflated ticket price of 3D, but still it’s a great achievement, especially coming off the back of a generally disliked second movie.

So what happens now? Shia LaBeouf and Michael Bay have had enough. Shia told MTV “I’m not coming back to do another one. I don’t think Mike [Bay] will either,” the actor continued. “It is still a hot property I think, especially coming out of the third one. So I imagine they’ll reboot it at some point with someone else.” Bay wrote on his site, “I’m kind of sad to leave the franchise.”

It’s a common Hollywood tactic to pretend you want to leave a successful franchise just to boost your next payday. But after five years of Transformers blue-screen filmmaking and more money than they could ever spend, it could well be genuine.

If they do go, will it mean a reboot like Shia suggests? No. The producer has stated “Certainly not a reboot. We haven’t lost the Transformers. They didn’t grow up or become expensive like Tobey Maguire. I’m pretty sure there will be a second trilogy. I am pretty sure it will kick ***. And I am pretty sure some of you will hate it because it wasn’t all bots.”

There have been rumours that Spielberg might direct or that Jason Statham might be the new leading man (he’s dating Rosie Huntington-Whiteley in real life), but trust me those will prove to be nonsense. Bay himself has said the Statham thing is untrue.

TRANSFORMERS 3 SPOILERS: One problem Transformers 4 will have is how to deal with the bridges burnt by Bay at the end of Dark of the Moon. Killing Starscream and Megatron in such a final way means there’s going to be a huge gap in future movies. Then again, could Megatron somehow be recovered enough to become Galvatron (the ‘re-born’ form of a destroyed Megatron)? And were they both fairly minor players in Dark of the Moon anyway?

Bay said he wasn’t keen on the Dinobots, but if he’s exiting then this would seem the time. They’re great characters, would present a fresh new spectacle on screen (giant metal dinosaurs trashing a city), and their prehistoric-form would offer some obvious plot opportunies if it meant prehistoric-origins too. The series sure does love to show the Transformers dropping in on earth’s history.

Unicron (the planet-sized Transformer from the original animated movie) is the villain most fans want to see. While this would be jaw-droppingly spectacular, it does present a huge logistical problem – how is Shia LaBeouf’s human replacement going to battle something the size of a planet?

Shia should jump at the opportunity to do another one, this franchise made him a household name but he is a moron and not a good actor so I wouldn't mind seeing a new lead.

I wouldn't mind seeing a fourth. New characters and actors would be great. Shia isn't bad, but I hope they can do better with the female leads, or do away with them altogether. I really wasn't impressed with the second gal, she couldn't act worth flip, and I really couldn't get past her honker of a nose.

As far as the Transformers themselves, its been so long since I watched the cartoons, I wouldn't know the basic storyline anyways. I like dinos, so Dinobots, if done well would be a blast.

They will keep making Transformers movies as long as they make big bucks for the studio.

Bay won't be the first or last filmmaker or studio to say they won't make anymore sequels to a franchise, then continue to make sequels to the franchise.

Friday The 13th The Final Chapter was supposed to be the Final Chapter, then 4 sequels later Jason Goes To Hell: The Final Friday was supposed to be the final chapter...

and they killed optimus prime too, but they are robots, and they can come back anytime...

and he also went into space, about 500 years in the future...

Even if they weren't robots they'd bring 'em back. That's the magic of franchise.

Not the way they killed them off they cant, they got shredded. The only way they could bring Megatron back is the Unicron\Galvatron story line...........

If they do make another they better bring back Wheelie and Brains.

It's Hollywood. Logic isn't part of the equation. Jason was literally blown to pieces in Jason Goes To Hell, yet that didn't stop them from bringing him back in Jason X.

Thats a horror franchise where people dont follow the plotline like gospel like they do in these action\fantasy movies. The comic book nerds go ape $hit if one thing is off, doesn't make sense or doesn't follow plotlines.

You've obviously never met a horror fan.

I think the best chance we have of seeing another Transformers film is with a re-boot at a later stage with a new cast and director.

I heard that Michael Bay isn't going to be directing, that's kind of exciting.

It’s part of Michael Bay’s new 2-picture deal with Paramount just announced to include Pain And Gain and of course Transformers 4. I understand that all the talent are deferring their compensation in return for big back ends from Paramount: Michael Bay, Mark Wahlberg, and Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson. It’s to keep Pain And Gain at the sure-thing $25 million budget level. Interesting, because both Wahlberg and Johnson are coming off hit 2012 movies (Contraband and Journey 2, respectively) so could have asked for a sky-high salary this time around — and didn’t. The film will shoot in Miami and production starts this April.
