I think we choose what kind of person to be early in life - and as we mature strengthen that path the path to hurt or not to hurt it is a choice - which one you will be It is so ironic for me to consider that statement. Cause, I think you are right. I was raised in the middle of nowhere...  I was raised by a loving Dad who happened to own a Kyokushinkia fighting school.  He taught me young to stand up for me. He also granted me complete individuality... I love that guy.  I was taught many martial arts. But the first thing I learned about fighting.....Was to avoid a fight. |

It only SEEMS interminable. yes to avoid a fight takes a different kind of strength - or to disagree without hurt - not as easy as ya might think I am not sure we can always avoid hurting others feelings - but doing so intentionally - that we can avoid and I agree being single is a lonely life - there are days I enjoy the solitude and days when it really does seem interminable |

That's like asking me to throw away the aces in a game poker. Ain't gonna happen. I try not to do it cause I am very good at saying the things that scar. |

I ain't smart enough to realize when people are being insulting to me. So, It rarely happens with me. But, when it does, I just tell them that they are short, fat and hairy...that shuts em up. :) Your jealousy is so transparent, o tall baldie. :) |

I disagree that being single is a lonely life. I have a ton of people around that I care about and who care about me. I'm not lonely at all. |

i think the thing that hurts me the most is when people say the meanest things too u u try an forgive them but then they do it too you again i been through that all my life i guess that is the part of life Dog's tail will remain bent. We are slaves of our habit.

I get upset when there are empty promises. Someones word is very important to me.  How many of us can claim our selves a man of a word ?  Raises hand... RIGHT HERE BARUN!!!!!! I try and surround myself with positive and joyful people, therefore negative and hurtful words shouldn't be a part of happier people's lives. I stay far away from drama!! Unless we put our conscious effort negative and hurtful thought will creep in. We are not 'GOD'.

When some body pokes stick into my open wound I feel hurt. Though I think feeling hurt due to others action reflects our own poor/weak mental state. What causes you feel hurt? What causes me to get hurt hmmmmm mean teasing even tho it is just in fun for some I don't like it at all.

When some body pokes stick into my open wound I feel hurt. Though I think feeling hurt due to others action reflects our own poor/weak mental state. What causes you feel hurt? I kind of think blameing the recipient of ones cruelty of words or actions is misplaceing the blame. Since someone who is intentionally cruel is generally too selfish to suffer so I try not to allow their uglyness to bear much weight on me but it does not mean that I am impervious to all stones thrown against me. As some one else said I try to spot this type of character defect and give it wide berth in my life. Seems to make me a lot happier person. |
