Seeing the beauty, of life so small and frail.
I feel your heart in this, like that butterfly reveiling its inner self with each paused, spread of its wings. You open your heart to all of us here, as it sings.. Thanks for sharing this,,and all your poems,,and I know I already commented,,but,,,,you have much that can be added to for your love.

"Butterflies" They come like the seasons and spill not only relief, But love, hate, joy, the tears I weep. I cannot stop the flow, mixed with a red No tourniquet will hold, clot not till I have fed My need to expunge all I never said to those, Who like greedy vultures, picked flesh from bone! No longer do I question, forced, I go with it, Days, sometimes weeks, waking at night to pen All that I would not say from fear of what I know not, Just my pounding heart and the butterflies like knots! With each word I write, they light on the smallest leaf, Spreading their wings, exposing beneath Their wondrous beauty the opposite, creatures of the night, Ugly, worn, my fleeting glimpse of life takes flight! Leigh, You are One Gifted Writer !!!

i met someone not to long ago
she was wearing these purple butterfly earrings and a neckless i told her about my grandmother and my mom collects butterflies she she stated that the butterfly actually represents the lungs which i can see that and if you google it shows that info which i found to be cool the lungs and freedom of there life |
