I would say the war in Iraq was the begining of the end. The elites proved they could lie their way into any profitable war and the foolish american people would cheer while their sons and daughters came home in coffins or mentaly damaged.

Financialy it was a disaster gas prices drove many commuters beyond their means it drove up food prices and home heating prices.

Besides Resolution 1441 gave all the justification needed to go back at Iraq!
