What if you knew what was going to happen in the future and when but you could not really change or effect the major events?

If you could go back in time and you only knew what you remembered how much would you know about the future?

I was terrible at History, names and dates etc. I would be pretty clueless.

I would play the lotteries smarter, not harder.

I would know about the future the exact same amount as I'd remember. A hundred percent equivalence.

Well if you knew certain people were going to die on certain dates, or that a tornado was going to hit a certain town at a certain time, you can't stop the tornado but maybe you could inform some of the people in the town.

I don't think they would believe you, and they might think you are a nut case, but would you try?

I can't even keep up with the present, let alone going back and forth

And what would informing or trying accomplish if it couldn't alter the event?

I would be sitting at the Midnight Rodeo drawing alone at a table and drinking...and that miserable ex I hooked up with approaches me. I know that it will be a horribly failed relationship and I still HAVE to hook up with her?

Future events:

I have a friend who sometimes does see events in the future or at least for some reason she knows what is going to happen, and sometimes she just blurts them out in conversation.

I have seen her do this and I have seen the people she was talking to, and they just don't seem to hear her. They just go on talking as if she did not say it.

She did that about the death of a woman I knew well here and even went into detail about exactly how she died because of something wrong with her spine. I can't remember the small details, but several months later that woman was all bent over and could not stand up strait. She was that way for quite a few months, then I heard that she had died.

If course I could not obtain any of the details of why she died. The woman that had predicted it did not even remember what she had said. The woman she told it to did not even hear it when she told it to her.

Okay what if you knew something like this about someone? Would you tell them? I'm not so sure I would. People would not hear it or they would think I was nuts.

it doesn't make any sense... if you can't change anything, then what is the point?... i would by stock in microsoft, IBM and others, but how could we know the future? There might be a way to go into the future, but i cannot see a way to go into the past...

I am not sure.......if she didnt remember doing it, how would she tell the person that didn't hear her in the first place?
