What is love
You can't find it in a book
There isn't a word to tell what it is
A song can't be sung about it
Not even all the poems I write do
Love is finally waking up from a dream
And seeing them next too you
Getting to kiss them each day just because you want too
Its looking into her eyes and see your reflection
Its whispering I love you in her ear
Holding her close as she cries and drying all her tears
Love is giving your heart to her so she knows how much you love her,trust her and that you are only hers
Love is wishing you love me to
I want you to be mine
Love is more then kisses,hugs and writing poems for her
Its having someone hold your heart
Its not the end
But its where it starts

Love is

Unselfishly giving of "self" in a friends time of need and not expecting return.

Love is

Holding that friend through the night when they have just had their heart broken, and not expecting return.

Love is

Helping the old lady across the street or getting the bags out of the grocery cart and loading them in the car.

Love is

Forgetting "self" and putting others first.

Love is
Giving even if you are rejected.


These are all qualities of Jesus Christ. And when I get down or lonely, or my friendships seem to be thinning out, I think of Jesus and all that He went through. The rejection, mosck strife and pain, He went through this for me because He L O V E D me <smile>
