"As vets, I think it is our job to protect our community through teachings of nonviolence and defensive measures like how to protect yourself from unprovoked police attacks," said Jenkins, who is currently studyingmilitary social work at the University of Southern California's Virtual Academic Center.
Another group that calleditself OccupyMarines recently posted on its Facebook page advice about how to protest in winter weather. According to a Tweet by @Kruggurl, Occupy Marine Corps has offered protesters supplies for the winter.

Anti-Wall Street demonstrators in New York City are trying to trademark the phrase"Occupy Wall Street" before anyone else does first.
Attorney Samuel Cohen represents the protesters in Zuccotti Park. He says they applied Oct. 24 to trademark the name of their movement with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
Cohen says the filing was a "defensive move" to ensure that nobody tried to use the "Occupy Wall Street" name for"improper purposes."
The application says the group wants to use the phrase in newsletters and periodicals. It also wants use for merchandise, and on an informational website.

I met a great group of vets in D.C. recently at Occupy D.C.; Iraqi Veterans Against the War, Vietnam Veterans Against the War & Veterans for Peace. What do they want? Stop the wars, support the troops...bring them home!

Attorney Samuel Cohen represents the protesters...

...and another individual person rises towards the top of the somewhat-leaderless movement.

Nature abhors a vacuum. I wonder how this will develop, as more and more 'leaders' emerge.

Will there be splinterings? Factions? In fighting?
