So I am ready to give up on trying to find someone and not just on JSH but all together.. I realize I have only been on here a week but the only guys that will talk to me from Minnesota are too old.. the one who wasn't too old brought up sex right away and when I politely said "no thank you" he said he had to go and won't speak to me now... this is the stuff I run into all of the time both online and offline... either I'm not pretty enough, I have bad teeth, I'm not skinny enough, or I won't put out... so I'm sick of trying... I guess this is why I have stayed single for 3 years... I have always thought it was from lack of trying but now I realize it's not...

and for the rest of the non-minnesotan guys that I have spoken to thanks for being so nice to me and it's too bad you are so far away...

now i'm sorry for the pitty pary and complaining but I had to get this off my chest... if you guys want to moderate it that's fine.. I understand how our community works...

I run into that sort of thing all the time. It sucks that everyone I like lives too far away but i have made many new friends that way. I have decided that being single isnt the worst thing in the world and that finding my "one and only" may take awhile.

I understand how you feel. I met someone right away on JSH. He was attractive and we talked but somehow I thought that maybe since I sent him a picture he wasn't interested. I don't want my pic hanging in cyberspace, not comfortable with it but I admire those who do. I thought we clicked but maybe I was wrong. This online dating jazz is a bit much. I hope you have better luck. I'm with you right now...I think I quit.

to me giving up is not an option.... we all deserve and are meant to be happy and to not walk this path in life alone....

best thing i can suggest is focus on what you want, clear the path for it all to come, have patience and be gentle on yourself

Don't give up. It's the same way for guys too, you know. It's hard when you find a great girl, only to be told you're too old, or too far away, or something along those lines. But you can't give up hope. Everyone has the right to be happy, it will just take some time, that's all. If you do go, that is your choice, of course, but just keep in mind that we will miss you!

I just get really fustrated when my friends and family keep asking me why i'm still single and how come I can't meet anyone.. that's why I came here.. I'm not into the whole bar and club thing... and I am still running into the same problems

oh, don't give up! You seem like such a sweet person. It just takes time to find someone special. You have to weed out all the freaks and weirdos first. I am in the same boat you are. & probably half the world too!

Good God girl, rome wasn't built in a day, learn some patience.
Nothing worth having happens quick. You have to earn a good relationship just like anything else. So make friends, enjoy conversation & take your time. All good things take time & effort.
