its called the funny little book
by johnny gruelle

hes the same guy that wrote the book
of ragginyann and andy

i found some info on line
and the first book made was in 1917
i have the thirty first edition 1918

I once had a Civil War history book that published a few years after the Civil War ended. It was SO cool! It was written like a story. I spent $10 on it at a library tag sale and at that time, that was a fortune for me to spend. Sadly, it was destroyed in a house fire about 20 years ago but I won't ever forget that treasure.

I am actually looking for an anthology of children's stories - no idea the title. Probably an English book, based on my childhood memories of the prints in lieu of photos. It has a number of tales but my favorite was a story about the "starbabies" who slept on the clouds and rode on the tail of a comet. I found a "Starbabies" children's book on Amazon but it's not the same story.

Have an old book written about the Isle of Man, published in 1912. I need to get it fixed as the binding is in rough shape. My folks have interesting assorted older books, though they're not collectors pieces per say.

Do any Minglers recognize this description and/or know this book?
