Yes I think it was a star also if it was not a planet. I don't think planets have coronal mass ejections like that thing did.

Do you think that explosion came from that star? Did you see comet Elenin change course?

Could that have been a star going nova or exploding? It disappeared after that in that one video. Or it went off screen.

Stars seem to move.

i'm not sure, another star seems to far away to do it without destroying our whole solar system... i'm thinking it was from the sun, like i said, it is only about 40 million miles from it. All the inner planets have been getting hit by CME's in the last few years. the earth is about 90 million miles from the sun, and we get hit by CME's all the time, but our electromagnetic currants and atmosphere protect us from them.

believe what you want. the sun was the only thing around, nothing else. no planets, no moons, nothing...and you saw that for yourself on the orbit diagram... it's really not that hard to see for yourself, even moreso since nasa has pictures of it happing. did you think if the satellite was on THE OTHER SIDE OF THE SUN, the sun would be on the left?, i'm guessing no, that would be to simplistic.

I guess I don't understand why you linked to those videos. I watched them because you linked to them. I saw a coronal mass ejection coming from the object on the right and a big explosion. That was not the sun.

I'm just trying to understand what I am watching. I'm not trying to argue anything with you.

It is not about "believing what I want" or about what I believe mightymoe, it is about understanding what I saw in those Nasa pictures and videos. Did you watch them or are you just linking to stuff and not even watching or reading it?

I asked you if you saw the ejection from the planet or star (or whatever it was) on the right. That was my question.

Did you see that or not?

Then you respond with "believe what you want!" HUH??? I don't get it.

That video did not even show the sun. The sun was on the left.

but you know how youtube videos are and the people that make them, they try to dramatize them every chance the get.

here is the real story, read this and maybe you will understand it a bit more.

er... okay so the official NSNBC story is that it was hit by a "solar flare" and is disintegrating.

(Although what I saw on those NASA pictures was not only action from the sun, but from something else on the right.)

I am still curious what it was that blasted that comet and caused that huge explosion. Then Elenin changed course or broke into two parts.

Our alien friends say that it was "intercepted" (by the Pleiadians and the greys) and that it was a ship of reptilians with bad intentions towards the earth.

(Our mathematician says his calculations prove that it was not a comet, but some kind of robot, ship or object that was purposely sent to us by some intelligent life out there in space. He thinks it was something good and probably had the cure for cancer on it or something. )

cut and pasted:

"While it is unknown what specifically caused this energy propulsion toward Elenin or what the significance of her orbital path may be, speculation infers that Elenin is, indeed, not a comet but a large tetrahedral-shaped object of unknown source.

"From this point forward, we will be monitoring Elenin’s path to see what variances have occurred and how her path may, or may not, affect our planet. Elenin's trajectory forecasts need to be updated to reflect any changes in her orbitah path. At this point in time, it is difficult to determine whether this energy burst will bring Elenin further away or possibly closer to us."

it just came into view of the soho satellite yesterday, so i am also looking for some pics of it too.

The truth about comet Elenin from Nasa

[urlhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AwZb-ERpY-U&feature=related

good video, nice guy, but i disagree with what he was saying about no celestial body can cause an earthquake, gravity can put tremendous pressure on a planet, between the weights and gravity of the two bodies... thats why i don't always listen to nasa, they think everyone else is stupid, and say things like that.. a comet may not be able to, but another planet or sun certainly can.

Well I'm not sure that Elenin is a comet. If it is not a comet, then what he says is basically useless.

I'm watching a lot of things about Elenin on youtube.

Some people are saying we will see three days of darkness from Sept 27th to the 29th. Well I guess we will find out soon. laugh laugh

thats when the comet will be right between the earth and sun, but i do not think the comet is big enough to block it out...i'm kinda wondering about the pieces of the comet, and what the trajectory is going to change...

The tail is supposed to point away from the sun. I wonder if the tail will point towards the earth.

The comet is not large enough to block out the sun, but they say that it has a very large dust and gas cloud surrounding it. Maybe that is large enough to do something.

That would be really interesting if we had 3 days of darkness.bigsmile

3 days of darkness is part of the Mayan prophecy, the beginning of the end...

Really? Awesome. I can't wait. bigsmile

I didn't know it was also a part of the Mayan prophecy.

You don't really think we are going to get three days of darkness so you?
