thanks everyone. And i was over it an hour later. I was only upset because i knew everyone. I wasn't wanting to be picked up. I wanted my friends to include me. Eventually i got up and danced solo. Not a huge deal. Just a little upset that i was left out. I honestly don't care now. I just had to say it out loud. Doesn't anyone else do that?

Was it a heterosexual wedding? Did people there know your orientation? Were you hoping to be asked by a man, a woman or either?

Weddings are nortorious for making people anxious.

They are also nortorious for being a traditional older crowd or at least where people tend to be aware that the parents, bosses, and church folks are around.

A tough crowd for a single Mom and or someone who has same sex attractions. Probably why so many people seem to avoid weddings all together. Maybe a few more years it won't be so or you will be better able to handle it. Going with an escort would help if you find yourself in this often repeated scene at your age.

Sounds like you did a pretty good job so be proud of yourself. A new Mom that you could even get yourself into a pretty dress, shoes, and there is an accomplishment so cut yourself some slack.

And the bride who was probably so distracted that she didn't know you were slighted. Or, and you can frame this how it makes you feel best, might have thought it was just too much to ask you to dance with some lame guest you didn't know.

If I have learned anything over the years that how we choose to frame something is half of the battle in seeing things.
