i have been through a lot the past few months and i must say the friends i have made here are much more supportive and friendly than the ones on myspace a few of them who are quite a bit older than me have even sort of adopted me LOL so this site is A LOT better than myspace

IDK both have their benefits. Myspace I talk to friends from around the area. On JSH, it has forums where you can basically just throw your thoughts out and people actually respond :P

Go to Toys R Us, buy 4000 GI Joes and Barbies, set them all up in your basement, and then go stand in the middle of all of them. Then try to have an intelligent conversation with them. That's MySpace.

That is your opinion and no offense was taken. But. I do have many people I keep in touch with around the area with on myspace and I also promote my techno on myspace as well. You can also support local bands and actual bands. You can also set up a clothing line and promote it. Depends on what your on it for.

Mech, sure it's good for some people, and that's fine. For me it was a bigger waste of time than those pills that are supposed to make you invisible. One man's treasure is another man's trash, and all that.

For me, there was too much band spam, too many scammers, and too many nutjobs in general. And there is virtually none of that here.

I actually think the MySpace concept is a good one -- but, in my opinion, it's been poorly implemented and overly scattered.

The biggest problem is the web designers design on the site. I went to college for program and web design. These guys need help and I am not willing to put my body in a cubical to help them lol. For instance, they should impliment more tracking and also mail reading stuff. OK certain formats of a site can actually check out what is inside a message just like a virus scanner looks into a file for the infected part. By doing this you can locate your spam. Take a link for a example. They have a spam button but what it does it directs it to individuals to delete the account. Now if instead of deleting it, they put in some code on the site that basically blocks whatever spam link is in the message or the comment, things would be takin care of. It's that simple. Instead of investigating to delete an account, investigate to add useful code into the site.

I have both and like both i chat with my grandkids in my space.. but each to their own i guess..for adults this is way better..

I like JSH for many reasons. Here, you can make post pretty much about anything without hate comments or insulting photos posted.

People are more friendly here. On myspace, people will curse you out. The crowd is just tough and cold.

On myspace, I only like how the site allows users to copy and pate codes for pics, video and animations in the forum. It allows the creative outlet.

BUT HERE, the atmosphere is more respectful, over there it's chaos.

I am both here and on myspace.. I use myspace mainly to keep in touch with old friends and with family that I don't get to see often so we can see pics of each other and so on

For me I like the features and the forums

i've got to admit that i'm sort of addicted to myspace, mainly for the following reasons: (not in any particular order)
-keeping in touch with long lost friends
-discovering new music (bands/artists)
-getting updates on particular interests
-i love editing the page designs
-blogging

HOWEVER! this is where i found someone really special. and the people here are sooooo nice!
