I have traveled the country... Chicago, Vegas, Orlando, Phoenix, and a lot of small towns in the Midwest to name a few. Is it just me, or is Indiana the single mom capital of the world? Just saying.

Curious what other people think (male or female) who have lived in other places around the country besides Indiana(?).

Is the reason that all the guys are players? Or that the girls chase after 'bad boys' because they think they can change them and get them to make a commitment?

I don't know the answer to your question, but I can say that I've lived in Indiana for 2 1/2 years and have yet to meet anybody.

But from prior experience with this state (my ex-wife was from here), I'd have to say that it did seem like a disproportionate number of her friends and family members were single moms. It wouldn't surprise me if that situation persists today.

This is a real concern for me, as I refuse to get involved with anyone who has kids. So I may be in the wrong place.

On the other hand, I spent most of my life in Illinois; and, as far as the preponderance of single mothers, that state certainly wasn't any better.
