The were. The last two just sucked though. Ugh.

Clan of the Cave Bear was the only book that I was allowed to read, but not allowed to discuss with other kids. I didn't do a lot of that anyways, since the kids didn't care, but this was the book that mom emphasized due to the sex and rape scenes.


LOL! What she didn't realize was that book was mild compared to some of the other old sci-fi/fantasy books I got my hands on at the library. Sharon Green wrote a really interesting Amazons one, that was along the lines of Edgar Rice Burroughs and similar sorts.
