..i would have to believe they have a leak in their organization somehwere, seems more like a retribution to what happened to Osama..a coincidence...only if one is to get lazy in their thought and choose not to seriously look into this..and if uncertaintay prevails i would have to close ranks just a little tighter..as a means of precaution..which it's always best to err on the side of..or so i've heard...but eh what do i know...spock

What you posted is

"Do you have any real evidence or intelligence or credible information or any details about where "most of these weapons" or munitions "used by the Taliban" come from? Are you in the arms business now?tongue

These kinds of rumors are very subtle and on the verge of gossip/propaganda without some reliable evidence."

It is amazing that you call the truth rumor and propaganda because you don't know the difference. You must be so insulated from the real world that you cast this falsehoods with the belief that others are just as detached.

It is also amazing how fast your stories change and how you put words into the mouths of others in an attempt of paint them with your political paintbrush. You admit you know nothing then claim to know so much.

I simply asked you to back up your claim with some support, evidence or information. That is all I did. You always have to make it so personal. Why?

Your claim is a rumor as it was posted, because it was almost an accusation and as it was stated, it was totally unsupported. It was simply a claim.

It was stated as a 'matter of fact' truth as if you think every average American should know all about the arms dealers in the world and take your word for it.

You said:

"Most of munitions used by the Taliban come from Pakistan and Iran. It would not be possible to supply the large number of arms used without government support from these nations."

To a person like me, who knows nothing about where exactly the weapons are made, or "come from," I am expected to just take your word for it, right? And what if I do take your word for it?

If I were to just believe you, and not ask for evidence, then I would probably join in supporting the group of people who are pushing to dominate or invade or make war on Pakistan and Iran. Why? Because they are obviously the big bad people who are supplying weapons to the Taliban, so they too should be considered our enemies. Right?

Is the government of Pakistan supplying weapons to the Taliban? Does the government of Pakistan receive aid from America? How much money does America send to Pakistan?

Wiki says this:
The United States is continuing to make large payments of roughly $1 billion a year to Pakistan for what it calls reimbursements to the country's military for conducting counterterrorism efforts along the border with Afghanistan, even though Pakistan's president decided eight months ago to slash patrols through the area where Al Qaeda and Taliban fighters are most active.

So then, why should we give them 1 billion dollars per year if they (the government of Pakistan as you say) is supplying weapons to the Taliban? Who then is really supplying weapons to the Taliban?

Essentially, we are.

If this is such a widely known and obvious truth, why do we, as taxpayers, sit by and allow our tax dollars to go to Pakistan while Pakistan is supplying weapons to our enemies the Taliban?

No, that is not what you did. You stated as a fact that what I posted was a rumor ... which isn't true. You then insultingly lectured on propaganda ... about a topic you claim to know nothing about.

This thread, to me, is about remembering what our heroes do for us year after year. I assume that any who even vaguely follow the wars know that what I stated was the truth.(other minglers correct me if I am wrong) I was reminding those who don't take the time to think about it, that the weapons that kill our soldiers year after year in Afghanistan never originate from Afghanistan. They come from places like Pakistan and Iran and we have enemies there who are working hard to kill our people and soldiers and would end our way of life in a heartbeat if they could with weapons of mass destruction. Troops like Navy Seal Team Six die to keep that from happening.

Why, if you can't accept anyone's facts, can't you do a little research to verify them instead of stating falsely that they are just rumors? You seem to have plenty of time to pull up a few websites later to show how much you (now) know about the subject you have already stated of which you know nothing. Are you just always trying to be obnoxious?

To make matters worse, you make crazy statements about what I believe regarding a new world order? What could be more obnoxious?

I don't take what you write personally I simply consider the source. If you make false statements, like you did, I simply call you on it.

Metalwing, you should not assume when you make a claim like that, that every average citizen knows or assumes what you are saying is true.

You simply made a statement. You expect people to agree. A claim without evidence or information or "NEWS" to back it up. as far as I am concerned is no better than RUMOR.

Since we send 1 billion dollars a year to Pakistan, and since according to you, Pakistan is supplying weapons to the Taliban, then it follows that we are (indirectly) responsible for supplying weapons to the Taliban.

I assume that any who even vaguely follow the wars know that what I stated was the truth.

An assumption. Even if I vaguely followed the wars, all I would know is what the major media allows us to know about them.

Why, if you can't accept anyone's facts, can't you do a little research to verify them instead of stating falsely that they are just rumors?

You are the one who made the claim.

When I make a claim I at least do a little google search to back it up. You don't even bother to do that. You tell people to do their own search. If you don't want to back up your claim with some real news or information, then to me, its just rumor.

If I spent my time searching the Internet researching everyone's claims and rumors, that is all I would get done.

I am very interested in the where the guns come from now, and I thought maybe you might have some real information or hard evidence that you could share with me, but all you are doing is repeating what you believe from what you have heard on the news. (Unless of course you are personally involved in the gun and weapons trade.)

I did not say I thought you take what I write personally, but you always resort to making personal remarks about me. You make it personal.

I just wanted you to back up your claim.

Now the subject of Pakistan:

If they are truly supplying the Taliban with weapons, then why do we send them 1 billion dollars per year?

That really seems kind of counter productive, not to mention stupid.

I have NEVER agreed with us aiding Pakistan. We need to hit them and do it hard and take control of their Nuclear Weapons.

Let's just see if we can get our government to stop sending them money and go from there.

That might be a good place to start. Don't you think?

No, if we withdraw the massive amounts of money and other aid we give them they may completely allign themselves with Al Qaeda and the Taliban which would give the terrorists nuclear weapons.

Seriously?

So then we are giving them money because they are basically extorting it from us?? We are giving them our tax money so that they can pretend to be our friends and while they supply the Taliban with weapons? They are probably laughing their butts off at us.

It IS a world of morons and lunatics.

That's really stupid and ridiculous. No wonder the world does not respect America. I do not want one penny of my money to go to my government if that is the kind of crap they do with it.

America is aiding and abetting terrorists.

[when you state something is a rumor that is actually true and which you know nothing you are simply a lier.
If I spent my time searching the Internet researching everyone's claims and rumors, that is all I would get done.
So ... everyone should do research for you because you are uneducated and too lazy to look things up. You seem to have plenty of time to research other things!
I am very interested in the where the guns come from now, and I thought maybe you might have some real information or hard evidence that you could share with me, but all you are doing is repeating what you believe from what you have heard on the news. Odd you did not comment on the extensive backup to my statement I provided as to the source of the weapons.
I did not say I thought you take what I write personally, but you always resort to making personal remarks about me. You make it personal.Always is a relative term, and seldom accurate. I think that to which you are referring is my comment about you being insulting during times you are being insulting, or perhaps you making false remarks (like this thread) when you do so.

I just wanted you to back up your claim. That is not true. If it were true then that is what you would have said and provided some backup of your own to show the need. Your behavior is that of the classic internet troll. You make false, insulting, and inflammatory remarks about a topic where you know little, then attack any response regardless to how knowledgeable, then come back with your "educated response" by cherry picking a few websites to prove how much you pretend to know. You have repeated this pattern numerous times.

Bah! you are wasting my time with your personal insults.

If you make a claim and don't back it up, whether you believe it is true or not, I'm not going to just take your word for it.

It will be treated as rumor as far as I am concerned.

I can see how these kinds of statements help inch by inch to convince the American people that they should (and will) get involved in yet another war in yet another country spending more American tax dollars, money that we don't have.

Sure send your children to war. That is where you are going with all this kind of talk. Invade Iran, invade Pakistan. After them, there will be some other small third world country that needs democracy.

Its hard to watch. Inch by inch...
